DIPLOMA IN CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY

This is a hands-on course equipping students with the knowledge and skills to solve technical problems in the construction technology field. Student will be taught to be able to demonstrate leadership skill and solve the construction technology problems innovatively, creatively and ethically through sustainable approach.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

To provide knowledge and practical skills on best practices and applications related to construction technology field.
To identify, formulate and provide creative, innovative and effective solution to construction technology.
Understand and commit professionally, ethically and with humane responsibility, in line with the construction good practice.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

Pass SPM or its equivalent with at least credits in THREE (3) subject, including Mathematics and
ONE (1) relevant science / technical / vocational subject AND a pass in English.
OR
Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysian (STPM) or its equivalent with a pass in Mathematics, English and ONE (1) relevant science / technical / vocational subject at the SPM level;
OR
Recognized Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology or its equivalent;
OR
Recognized related Vocational and Technical / Skill Certificate or its equivalent with ONE (1) year of relevant work experience or a minimum of ONE (1) semester of a bridging programme.

COURSE MODE AND DURATION

This is a full-time course.
The Duration is 2½ years covering 6 semesters (5 long semester, 1 short semester).
Overall covers 90 credits hours.
Evaluation is done through assignments, quizzes, group work, laboratory work, tutorials, test, exams, final year papers and industrial training.
The programme will be conducted by experienced and qualified lecturers from relevant fields.

Certificate of attendance for Certified Professional Inspector of Work by KLIA Professional and Management College and recognized by CIDB
Site Safety Supervisor by KLIA Professional and Management College (same as Dip Osh)
